2021-22 Pitching & Arm Programs

The Starters winter Pitching programs are for committed players looking for an individualized off-season development program.  The Hitting Programs are comprehensive programs that include skill development, strength training, and the use of technology the provides athletes with quantifiable feedback to help better individualize each hitters focus on a session by session basis.


High School Program


SSP 1 & SSP 2

The Starters High School Pitching Program is a 6 month program (October 18-March 20) for committed players looking for an individualized off-season development program.  Our goal is to create and engineer a learning environment that promotes competitiveness, self-organization and empowerment of the athlete. We will provide context relevant to Pitching along with creating individualized programming catered towards the athlete’s needs. Create a Chronic Workload Base in the On-Ramping Stages and create individualized development throwing programs based on Video Analysis and their needs.  The High School Pitching program is an invite only program for players ages 15U-18U.

Positional Arm Development Program

Starters positional ADP will focus on developing healthy and strong arms for positional players.  Using Jager bands, plyo balls, long toss, and soft tissue work. Players will build up a chronic workload base and then transition into a long toss and skill throw blending portion and further transition into velocity development in order to increase arm strength be it across the diamond, from the outfield, or behind the plate.

Program Goals:

  1. Create strong durable arms for all baseball athletes.
  2. Reinforce strong arm action and efficient mechanics
  3. Teach proper pre and post-throw protocols and progressions for athletes to simplify and use throughout their seasons.
  4. Build higher top-end velocity for players from their positions.

  • 5 Month Program (Nov.1-Mar. 20)

Youth Programs


Youth PLUS Pitching

The Starters Youth PLUS Pitching Programs incorporates the main principles taught in the Youth Arm Development Program but has an altered throwing progression customized specifically for pitchers.

The Youth PLUS Pitching program focuses on skill acquisition with an emphasis on throwing catered towards game-like activities.  Players will learn proper warm up techniques as well as get an introduction to J-bands and Plyo-care.   Players will then transition to a pitching focus that introduces the use of short-box bullpens and live bullpens to simulate a live game feel.  This approach allows our athletes to develop in a fun and competitive environment.

  • 3 Month Program (Jan. 3-Apr. 1)
  • 2x-3x per week training sessions

Youth Arm Development Program
